The team will be able to elevate both Siposs and Covey two more times this season. After that, both players will need to be officially signed to the active roster in order to play on Sundays.
Obviously, this isn’t the most ideal situation. Neither Siposs nor Covey inspired much confidence in their respective roles last season. Nevertheless, they’ll both be back.
Howie Roseman actively tried to replace Siposs throughout the offseason, bringing in four punters to compete for the job. None of them panned out, so Siposs will be the guy once again.
It’ll be interesting to see how the team handles these two as the season progresses.
