Covey has served as the team’s primary punt returner in the first two games, averaging 10.7 yards per return (9th in the NFL).

The Eagles also signed RB Bryant Koback to the practice squad. Koback went undrafted in 2022 and has yet to make his NFL debut. The Toledo product tallied over 4,000 rushing yards and 52 TDs across his four years in college.
