Phillies security guard tackles total idiot after Game 2 of the NLCS

The Phillies were hitting all night in Game 2 of the NLCS, eventually crushing the Diamondbacks 10-0 in the always-electric Citizens Bank Park. Fans were understandably excited, but one took it too far and ran onto the field to join the celebration like a jackass.

Unfortunately for him, this Phillies security guard shut it down with a lethal hit stick:

Good GOD. That is a textbook open-field tackle from this guy right here.

You can tell he’s been waiting his whole career for that opportunity, and he seized it in a more than memorable fashion. He saw the Phils mashing baseballs and wanted to get in on the action by any means necessary.

Just look at the path he takes to the ball carrier; that’s all preparation right there. No doubt in my mind, he’s a film rat.

The only hits I can compare it to are Brian Dawkins ending Alge Crumpler’s game early and Sheldon Brown sending Reggie Bush to the Shadow Realm. This Phillies security guard could suit up for the Eagles this weekend if need be.
