WATCH: Tacko Fall might have pulled off the poster of the year playing with the Monkey Kings in the Chinese Basketball Association

Tacko Fall has gone viral on social media after a pulling off a ridiculous, posterizing slam-dunk against the Shanghai Sharks last week. 

Fall, who never found success in the NBA, now plays for the Nanjing Tongxi Monkey Kings in the Chinese Basketball Association. Previously, he played three seasons in the NBA with brief stints on both Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers. He averaged just 2.2 points and 2.4 rebounds over 37 career games played. 

Standing at 7’6” and weighing 311 pounds, I’m not really sure why Tacko Fall wasted any time in the NBA when he could have been dunking on the heads of Chinese basketball players for years. Seems like a no brainer, right?

The viral dunk happened during the Monkey Kings’ matchup against the Shanghai Sharks last week at the Shanghai Indoor Stadium in Shanghai, China.

Monkey Kings’ guard Wei Lin found Tacko Fall cutting to the basket. Sharks’ defender, 6’3” guard Terry Li, rotated over in defense and as you probably know by now given the height difference, the result was a vicious poster.

Pretty insane to even attempt to defend Tacko Fall in that situation but credit to Terry Li for taking one for the team. As for Fall, he finished with 12 points, 14 rebounds, and 4 blocked shots which if you think about it, is pretty bad given the fact he’s a monster competing against regular sized Chinese players.

Those types of dunks should happen literally on every play, right? Maybe I’m missing something because Fall is averaging just 8.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks over 12 games with the Monkey Kings this season.
