Nick Bosa believes 49ers put out a ‘blueprint’ on how to stop Eagles QB Jalen Hurts

49ers pass rusher Nick Bosa believes his defense has figured out Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts. As he describes it, San Francisco has put a ‘blueprint’ on tape on how to contain QB1. I don’t buy it but let’s hear what the guy has to say at least.

Nick Bosa: “We put the blueprint out there”

“Yeah, I mean, you see on tape though,” Nick Bosa told reporters. “We put the blueprint out there, hopefully the Cowboys watch the tape. We made Jalen stay in the pocket and escape outside inside in those B gaps and it paid off.”

Look, this is what teams have been trying to do to Jalen Hurts for two years now. And during that time, the Eagles have gone 24-2 in their last 26 regular season, thanks in large part to their quarterback. The Niners were able to pull it off because they have a stacked defense at all three levels. They deserve credit for that at least – but let’s not act like this ‘blueprint’ is new news.

Jalen Hurts isn’t a perfect quarterback. no QB is. It’s like when fans say, “we gotta get pressure so we can force the QB into mistakes.” Well yeah, no shit. If you get pressure on any quarterback, they’re not going to be as effective. If you keep any mobile quarterback in the pocket, they’re not going to be as effective. That goes for Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, and even Patrick Mahomes.

Kudos to Nick Bosa and his Niners for playing a great game, but we all know they didn’t figure shit out. So kindly, fuck off and focus on your next opponent.
