Players ruled out for Monday’s matchup:
- CB Darius Slay
- LG Landon Dickerson
- LB Zach Cunningham
- NB Avonte Maddox
Prior to the injury report getting released, there were rumors that Maddox could possibly suit up for Week 16. But it looks like we’ll have to wait at least one more week before we see Maddox back on the field.
As for Slay, Dickerson, and Cunningham, we expected all of these guys to be out this week. Slay and Dickerson just got surgery, and Cunningham has been dealing with knee issues for a few weeks now.
Hopefully, Nicholas Morrow will be able to go. Despite his subpar play throughout most of the season, the Eagles don’t have many capable bodies at the linebacker position right now. If Morrow’s out, the starters will probably be Shaq Leonard, who’s still learning the defense, and undrafted rookie Ben VanSumeren, who hasn’t played a single defensive down this year.
It’s not all doom and gloom, though. WR DeVonta Smith missed a few practices throughout the week, but he was completely removed from the injury list on Saturday and does not have an injury designation.
