WATCH: Flyers score 3 goals in 2:06 minutes, beat Western Conference best Vancouver Canucks 4-1

Ladies and gentlemen, the city of Philadelphia bleeding orange and black. The Flyers have defied all odds and managed to rid themselves of a “rebuild” posting a 19-11-4 record through 34 games this season. 

Last night, the Flyers ended the Vancouver Canucks nine-game point streak with a 4-1 victory at Rogers Arena on Thursday night. Egor Zamula, Sean Walker and Joel Farabee scored three goals in 2:06 minutes late in the second period to hand the Flyers’ an easy win against the first place team in the Western Conference. 

Zamula put the Flyers ahead on a shot through traffic that caught goaltender Casey DeSmith looking around the other side of a screen on a power play.

Note: Zamula’s power play goal was just the second over the last 10 games for the Flyers’ power play. 

Sean Walker made it 2-0 with a one-timer from inside the right face-off dot after Owen Tippett made a ridiculous cross-ice backhand pass from his knees.

Heat Check: Tippett has seven points (4 G, 3 A) in his past 8 games. Philly’s second favorite Joel (Farabee) increased the Flyers lead to 3-0 on a breakaway after Bobby Brink forced a turnover.

The Flyers improved to 7-1-2 over their last 10 games. They have earned at least one point in 11 out of their last 12 games while posting an 8-1-3 record during that span. 

Between the pipes, Samuel Errson saved 18 of 19 shots before leaving 2:36 into the third period because of dehydration. Carter Hart made eight saves in relief.
