Eagles Injury Report: DeVonta Smith misses second straight practice, two players limited
The Eagles released their latest injury report on Thursday ahead of this weekend’s regular season finale against the Giants.
Thursday Injury Report
- WR DeVonta Smith — DNP (ankle)
- DT Jordon Davis — LP (ankle)
- CB Darius Slay — LP (knee)
- LB Zach Cunningham — FP (knee)
- CB Avonte Maddox — — FP (elbow)
- LB Haason Reddick — FP (illness)
Smith missed his second straight practice with a high ankle sprain suffered in last week’s loss to Arizona. He was seen without crutches and a walking boot earlier this week, an encouraging sign for the Eagles’ impending playoff run.
After sitting out on Wednesday, Jordan Davis and Haason Reddick each returned to practice. Zach Cunningham and Avonte Maddox were also full participants.
CB Darius Slay practiced in a limited capacity as he works his way back from arthroscopic knee surgery.
The Eagles need a win on Sunday and a Dallas loss at Washington to clinch the NFC East and the No. 2 seed. If the Cowboys/Commanders game gets out of hand early, there’s a good chance Nick Sirianni will sit his starters out of precaution.
