Chicago Bulls fans boo Jerry Krause, bring his wife to tears in the process
On Friday night, the Chicago Bulls held a Jerry Krause appreciation night where they honored their late general manager. During the ceremony, Bulls fans decided to boo Krause, bringing his widowed wife to tears as she was shown on the jumbotron.

This, without a doubt, is a huge blemish on the reputation of Chicago fans. And somehow, Philly fans got dragged into it by the Bulls broadcast. Stacey King, the color commentator for the Bulls, went on a verbal rampage against Chicago for doing what they did. For the most part, I agreed with everything he said…. and then he had to say something about Philly fans.
“It was the worst thing I’ve ever seen in my life…That’s New York, Philly. Chicago is not like that.”
Hey dumbass – it literally happened in Chicago and you saw it firsthand. Not in Philly. Not in New York. It was in Chicago.
Say what you want about us, we really don’t care at this point. But to try and deflect the conversation from your own fanbase by pointing at us hard working North Easterners is loser shit.
And for the record, Philly fans are actually pretty good about honoring their own. Let’s take former Phillies GM Reuben Amaro Jr. as an example. He had a ton of success with the Phillies, but towards the end, he made several bad mistakes and set the franchise back several years. Despite that, he’s a regular on 94WIP’s Morning Show and routinely joins the boys up in the box for Phillies broadcasts.
Jerry Krause accomplished more in Chicago than any GM before him and since his departure. His wife already had to deal with Michael Jordan shitting on her dead husband for a 10-episode documentary series, now she has to listen to dumbass Chicago fans boo him while he’s getting honored? That’s a low blow chief.
I know NOTHING can even come close to that one time 50 years ago when Eagles fans threw snowballs at a drunk guy in a Santa Claus outfit, but this one at least scratches the surface.
