The Process Comes Full Circle: Joel Embiid chops it up with Brett Brown after historic 70-point night

Joel Embiid, the best basketball player in the world, put together one of the most dominant performances the sport has ever seen last night against the Spurs. He dropped a franchise record 70 points, becoming just the ninth player in NBA history to score at least 70 in a single game.

Joel Embiid is unstoppable at the moment

The entire NBA world is witnessing greatness right now. And his former head coach, Brett Brown, had a front row seat to his historic outing Monday night. The two chopped it up after the game, along with a few other Process holdovers.

Joel Embiid spoke about the moment during his postgame press conference, saying how special it was to do it front of the guy who coached him through the first few years of his NBA career. It was the Process coming full circle right before our very eyes.

“He’s done a lot for not just me, but the whole city of Philadelphia,” Joel Embiid told reporters. “When you think about everything that happened, and the losing seasons and, you know, to still come out on top and have the success that he had, that’s pretty cool… But I’m kind of glad I did it in front of him, so he can see the product of what he created.”

Last night was Embiid’s 21st consecutive game with at least 30 points, as he continues on an historic pace this season. He may not be eligible for the season MVP because of the amount of games he’s missed, but that doesn’t mean he can’t win the Finals MVP when it’s all said and done.
