New Eagles coaching hires ignite trade rumors surrounding All-Pro CB Patrick Surtain
The Philadelphia Eagles coaching staff has really taken shape over the last week.
Christian Parker will join Vic Fangio as the secondary coach in Philadelphia, on top of Clint Hurtt as the defensive line coach and Joe Kasper as the safety coach.
Parker is leaving Denver to come to Philly, which has left fans thinking about some players who might come over to join their old coach, too. One player stands out more than any, and that’s one of the best young cornerbacks in the league, Patrick Surtain.

Parker was a part of developing Surtain early in his NFL career, which led to two Pro Bowls and first-team All-Pro honors.
The Eagles have shown continuous interest in the 23-year-old corner, especially after how awful James Bradberry looked this season. They had previously inquired about Surtain at the 2023 trade deadline. However, the Broncos rejected all trade offers for Surtain.

When you consider where the Broncos are as a franchise, they may want to load up on some draft picks as they look to rebuild or retool for the future. So, a trade with Philadelphia could make a lot of sense for both sides.
