Travis Konecny needed roughly 4 minutes last night to pick up a ‘Gordie Howe Hat Trick’ in the Flyers 4-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets
The Philadelphia Flyers beat the crap out of the slumping Winnipeg Jets last night to improve to 27-19-6 on the season and their All-Star selection Travis Konecny put on a masterclass in the first period with a Gordie Howe Hat Trick.

Travis Konecny had a goal, an assist and a fight in the first period last night, more commonly known to NHL fans as a “Gordie Howe Hat Trick”. With just over 6 minutes into the game, TK started his first leg of the Gordie Howe Hat Trick by dropping the gloves with defenseman Neal Pionk.

TK then gave the Flyers a 2-0 lead over the Jets with his team-leading 24th goal of the season, finding the back of the net on a shot from the slot that bounced off the guy he just beat up in Pionk and past Jets’ goaltender Laurent Brossoit.

All that was left for Travis Konecny at that point was an assist.
