Wild: Apparently football websites and even Las Vegas forgot that Jalen Hurts is a Top 3 franchise quarterback in the latest Quarterback Offseason Power Rankings

Even with the final two teams playing last Sunday night to mark the official end of the 2023-2024 NFL season, we all know the football machine never sleeps.

The internet is already posting quarterback rankings for next year and let me tell you, Philadelphia Eagles fans won’t be happy with whatever nonsense “The 33rd Team” put out on social media, poisoning the eyes of anyone who was unlucky enough to see it.

Phew. I’m not even sure where to begin with this list besides simply calling it a bunch of nonsense.

Listen, I get it. Philadelphia Eagles fans are the most intelligent and most engaged NFL fanbase on the internet. It doesn’t even surprise me anymore when accounts like the one above put out ridiculous rankings in order to boost those engagement numbers. It’s just a part of the game. Good for them.

At the same time, I can confidently say that I will not be taking anything this account posts seriously ever again.

Jalen Hurts at No. 17 overall is simply laughable. I don’t even have to defend that stance because we’re looking at a list that features Matthew Stafford as a Top 5 quarterback and other players like Jordan Love, Kyler Murray, and Geno Smith ranked above him.

Side Note: The only thing that this list got correct is putting Brock Purdy behind Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes at No. 1 overall.

We all know Jalen Hurts, at a minimum, is a Top-10 quarterback. I think it’s perfectly fair to make the argument that if Patrick Mahomes isn’t your franchise quarterback, then Hurts would be next on the list.

The Super Bowl agenda is officially back for the Philadelphia Eagles, and I couldn’t be more excited. Everyone is leaving them off their contenders lists for next season, and Jalen Hurts’s stock has never been lower.

I mean, hell, even Vegas doesn’t even have the Eagles in most Top-5 odds to make the Super Bowl next season.
