Coaching Malpractice: Nick Sirianni took his new coaching staff out to Geno’s for a cheesesteak

Eagles head coach and proud paisan Nick Sirianni has officially filled out his new coaching staff for the upcoming season. He wasted no time welcoming OC Kellen Moore and DC Vic Fangio, as well as new QB coach Doug Nussmeier to Philadelphia, but his method of doing so has the majority of Philadelphians scratching their heads.

Nick Sirianni made the questionable decision to bring his new coordinators and QB coach to Geno’s of all places:

Yikes. As The Liberty Line’s resident Sandwich Commentator, covering this brings me no pleasure, but it is my sworn duty, and I must fulfill the responsibilities that come with that lofty title.

Most Eagles fans are concerned that’s going to scare the new coaches away and, honestly, it’s tough to blame them for feeling that way. Fortunately, they’re all smiles, so it couldn’t have been too bad. Either that or this was before they sat down to eat, but I digress.

Now that the rage bait is out of the way, I’ll be straight with you. I’ve said this once, and I’ll say it a thousand times. Geno’s isn’t that bad. Obviously, there are better cheesesteaks in the Philly area, but

My biggest issue with this whole thing is that new DL coach Clint Hurtt, aka The Biggest Man in Football, didn’t make an appearance. I don’t know what the reason might be, but there’s a chance Nick Sirianni didn’t have that much cash on him when he made the plans.

Based on the size of this guy, something tells me he can eat with the best of ’em.

Very real and legitimate journalist. I don't see a loss on the schedule.
