Jason Kelce says he’s ‘staying in shape;’ still undecided on retirement
The biggest question facing the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason is whether or not Jason Kelce is going to come back for one more season or officially hang up the cleats.
We’ve heard numerous reports pointing in both directions. Adam Schefter immediately threw gas on the fire after the Eagles season ended, reporting that Kelce told teammates he’s going to retire – even though that didn’t actually happen. Vey good and legitimate journalism from Mr. Schefter on that one.
Jason Kelce himself has said several times that he still doesn’t know what his decision will be. He shared that same sentiment when appearing on David Spade and Dana Carvey’s podcast “SuperFly” on Friday. The one interesting snippet that he revealed was that he is still staying in shape, just in case he gets the itch to strap it up again.
“I don’t know. I’m trying to figure it out right now. Right now, exploring different opportunities if I end up retiring,” Kelce said.”Still working out and staying in shape if I end up playing again.”

At this point, Jason Kelce really doesn’t need to rush this decision. The Eagles already have his replacement in-house with Cam Jurgens and knowing their team building philosophy, they’re probably going to draft a lineman this year regardless of Kelce’s decision.
But the fact that he is staying in shape does give me at least a little hope that he’ll return for one more year. Only time will tell.
