Eagles L'Jarius Sneed NFL Free Agency

NFL Rumors: Eagles players are actively trying to recruit CB L’Jarius Sneed to join them in Philly

If there’s one thing the Eagles need this offseason, it’s a cornerback. Not only do fans think that, evidently, the players do too.

Per the annual NFL rumor mill that takes over Twitter around this time every year, multiple Eagles players have been recruiting Chiefs’ soon-to-be free agent corner, L’Jarius Sneed. Sportskeeda’s Tony Pauline was the first to break the news.

“I’m told three of Sneed’s college teammates from Louisiana Tech, who are presently on the Eagles roster, are actively recruiting the cornerback to come to Philadelphia via text messages and other methods. Running back Boston Scott, defensive lineman Milton Williams and tight end Griffin Herbert all played with Sneed at Louisiana Tech and are pushing their former teammate to sign with the Eagles if he hits the open market.”

Not really sure what to make of this news other than the fact that some Sneed’s former teammates just want to play with him again. As much as I love Boston Scott, I’m not sure a text from him if really going to persuade Sneed here. Now, if it was one of the defensive captains like Fletcher Cox, Brandon Graham, or Darius Slay, that may have done the trick.

Following this report from Pauline, we learned that Sneed may get franchise tagged by Kansas City, and that a trade is still on the table if a long-term deal doesn’t come to fruition.

Even with the tag, the Eagles will still have a chance to make their move
