Nick Castellanos says MLB is lying to players about the new uniform change

Phillies slugger and clubhouse sage Nick Castellanos always shares insightful nuggets when you least expect it. However, with the new and unimproved MLB uniforms as a hot topic of conversation, Casty took it upon himself to drop a massive truth bomb on the league.

MLB claims the ungodly thin uniform pants are the same as last year, but Nick Castellanos says they’re straight-up lying because they think the players are stupid:

That’s a pretty scathing indictment of MLB and the way they run their business. Not only do I agree with Castellanos on gut feeling alone, but there’s also a clear precedent set by Rob Manfred and his inept administration.

When we take a look back at the juiced balls “scandal” from a few years back, MLB fielded questions the exact same way. “The baseballs were the exact same as they’d always been! You’re ridiculous for even asking!”

… until it turned out that the baseballs had been changed, and that nobody was out of line suggesting they weren’t.

Meanwhile, fans can see players’ nuts more easily than they can watch certain games due to local blackouts. I get that sex sells, but this situation doesn’t really fit into the idea that the phrase represents.

Nick Castellanos is pretty much on the money here, as he often is when sharing his thoughts about the game and the league as a whole. He may not have a college degree, but he’s not a dummy.

A certain subset of Phillies fans like to paint this team as a group of hot himbos without a single thought passing through their minds. Which, while a fun way to think about a bunch of admittedly hot pro athletes, clearly isn’t remotely true.

Very real and legitimate journalist. I don't see a loss on the schedule.
