Alabama Security practiced ‘Court Storming Prevention’ – Crimson Tide blows chance at SEC Title in a home loss to the Tennessee Volunteers
The University of Tennessee took down Alabama 81-74 to take over sole possession of first place in the SEC with just two games left to play before entering March Madness.
The Crimson Tide shot just 3-of-21 from the floor in the final 14:36 of the game as the Vols held them to under 80-points for the second time this season.
Zakai Zeigler led No. 4 Tennessee with 18 points and Josiah-Jordan James had an 11-point, 13-rebound double-double against No. 13 Alabama. Seven Vols scored at least eight points.
What made things even worse for Alabama is the fact that they practiced “Court Storming Prevention” before the game.

According to ESPN, Alabama had an 84 percent chance to win heading into the second half of the game and instead, they laid a monumental goose egg as Tennessee took over the game and sole possession of first place in the SEC Men’s Basketball Standings.

This reminded me of the New York Mets practicing their World Series celebration during Spring Training and then playing the MLB season, well, like the New York Mets.
For those who don’t understand the reference, the Mets celebrated like they had won a World Series title during 2021 Spring Training after recording 27 outs in a defensive drill.
The Mets finished in third place in the NL East standings that season eight games under the .500 with a 77-85 record.

The No. 4 Tennessee Volunteers will face the No. 18 South Carolina Gamecocks on Wednesday night on the road, followed by the No. 19 Kentucky Wildcats at home on Saturday to close out the regular season.
