WATCH: Anthony Joshua puts Francis Ngannou to sleep with vicious second-round knockout
Former heavyweight champion of the world Anthony Joshua halted Francis Ngannou’s boxing career in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – defeating the former UFC champion via second-round knockout.
Joshua dropped Ngannou in the first round last night then twice more in the next resulting in a second-round knockout. Ngannou was knocked down three times in the first two rounds against Joshua.

Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) knocked out Ngannou (0-2) with a powerful hit with his right with just over 30 seconds left in round two.

Ngannou (0-2, 17-3 in MMA) was fighting in his second professional boxing match after claiming the UFC heavyweight crown in 2021. He made his boxing debut last October against Tyson Fury losing in a controversial split decision while managing to drop Fury in the final minute of the third round, giving boxing fans hope for his future. Judges had the fight scored barely in favor of Fury (95-94 and 96-93), while another judge had it 95-94 for Ngannou.
