Report: Eagles, Bryce Huff agree to three-year $51M contract

It’s no surprise that the first move of the legal tampering period for Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles is signing Bryce Huff, one of the best edge rushers on the market.

Huff played in all 17 games last season for the Jets, recording 29 total tackles and leading the team with 10 sacks, all in limited snaps. Huff is only 25 years old and appears to be hitting his stride as one of the better pass rushers in the league.

Bryce Huff contract details with Eagles

Bryce Huff with the Jets in 2023

  • 67 pressures on only 334 pass rush snaps
  • 86.8 pass-rush grade (highest on Jets)
  • 22.9 pass-rush win% (best in NFL)
  • 10.0 sacks, 21 QB hits
  • 2nd highest pressure rate in the NFL (min. 250 snaps)

Eagles fans, this is awfully similar to when the team signed Hasson Reddick in free agency right before his prime. Also, if you need any more convincing on how good Huff is, here’s Baldy’s opinion of him.

While there has been chatter about Philly trading Reddick and Josh Sweat, it will be interesting to see how Howie navigates the rest of free agency and the draft.
