Mustipher (6-4, 318 pounds) was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Broncos in 2023 and eventually joined New Orleans off the practice squad later that season.
The Maryland native played five years at Penn State, logging 145 tackles (11 for loss), three sacks, and two forced fumbles. Mustipher served as a team captain during his final two seasons and was named a first-team AP Big Ten selection in 2021.
PJ Mustipher Scouting Report via NFL.com:
Mustipher was a high-character leader for the Nittany Lions and brings good thickness to the position. He’s a little too gradual off the snap to create stress for blockers and fails to control the action with force or hand usage.
Mustipher’s below-average athletic profile and limited impact on games will make it difficult for him to work his way onto an NFL roster.
