WATCH: Saquon Barkley’s daughter calls the Giants trash in Eagles vlog

It’s been a whirlwind of a week for new Eagles RB Saquon Barkley.

After spending six years with the New York Giants, Barkley signed with the NFC East rival Eagles on the first day of free agency.

As expected, Giants fans haven’t taken the news well. The former Penn State star responded to those fans in his introductory press conference:

“The Giants fans that were hurt about me leaving, I’ve got nothing but respect for all those guys and all those ladies,” he said. “The fans for the last six years have been great to me, to my family, created so many memories.

I don’t really think I handled it the right way on social media. I think I could have given a proper goodbye. Once I announced, everything kind of got hectic.

But I’m forever grateful for the Giants fans, I’m so thankful for them, but unfortunately the NFL is a business, and I was able to get to a place that I know I can come here, I can compete, I can win, I can stay close to home, and I’m just happy I can be a part of this team.”

While Barkley has valiantly attempted to pay his respects to New York, his daughter knows the truth. The Giants are terrible and have been terrible for a long time. Their poor decisions and lack of success undoubtedly contributed to Barkley’s exit from the franchise.

His daughter said as much during a recently released vlog that detailed Barkley’s first 24 hours as an Eagle.

Of course, Giants fans are upset and accusing Barkley of turning his back on them.

In reality, New York has won just 34 games since they drafted Barkley in 2018, opted to pay mediocre QB Daniel Jones over him, and had no desire to negotiate a new deal with him this offseason.

The Giants have nobody to blame but themselves, and as a result, Saquon Barkley will indeed be winning more games in Philadelphia.
