Report: Eagles add another weapon, sign speedy WR to one-year deal

The Eagles have added another receiver on offense.

First reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Philadelphia has agreed to a one-year deal with free agent WR Parris Campbell.

The Eagles had their eyes on Campbell in the 2019 NFL Draft but opted for JJ Arcega-Whiteside at No. 57 overall instead. We all remember how that went.

Campbell, 26, spent four seasons with the Colts (two of which while Nick Sirianni was offensive coordinator) before signing a one-year deal with the Giants last offseason.

The former Ohio State star ended his 2020 and 2021 seasons on injured reserve but bounced back in 2022, logging 63 receptions for 623 yards and three touchdowns.

The Eagles didn’t have much depth behind top pass-catchers AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith last season — they’re evidently making that a priority this year with the DeVante Parker and Parris Campbell signings.

If healthy, Campbell’s 4.3 speed could do damage in the slot for Jalen Hurts.
