NC State’s DJ Burns owns 2 vending machines as a side hustle

NC State forward and Certified Big Boy DJ Burns has captured the hearts and minds of college basketball fans across the country with his play and stature. So much so, in fact, that he landed an interview on Pardon My Take, giving people a window into his life on and off the court.

DJ Burns owns two vending machines, and has even mentored a few friends on how to get their own:

You’ve gotta hand it to the guy, that’s a damn good idea. In the immortal words of YG, “Scared money don’t make no money,” and Burns has shown that his money is the furthest thing from being scared.

Even with NIL money pouring into the sport, it’s great to see guys finding ways to make a buck off the court. Plus, it’s hilarious because DJ Burns is approximately the size of a deluxe vending machine.

Some people were saying that maybe he’ll get a big NIL deal if he keeps this up and he’ll be able to get rid of the vending machines. In my opinion, that’s short-sighted, he should buy more.

He may not make the NBA, but being a vending machine mogul seems like a pretty sweet alternative. The only potential pitfall, as everyone knows, is the risk of getting high on your own supply.

That said, if DJ Burns has the discipline to be a DI athlete and is business savvy to boot, I think he’ll be just fine in that regard.
