Disgusting Behavior: Tampa Bay Rays unveil 2023 AL Wild Card banner after getting swept by the Texas Rangers
The Tampa Bay Rays hosted the Toronto Blue Jays at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida yesterday on MLB Opening Day.
Tampa lost the Blue Jays 8-2 but before the game even started, the Rays decided to unveil a 2023 American Wild Card banner in the rafters. How embarrassing.

If you noticed, they also have a 2022 American League Wild Card banner right next to the new one. To be clear, the Tampa Bay Rays were swept in both of the Wild Card series and scored a TOTAL of two runs.

Just when I thought the 2022 “National League Champions” love fest here in Philadelphia last season was the clear front runner for the worst celebrations, here come the Rays with a new low.
At the very least, the Philadelphia Phillies won the NL Pennant in 2022. Do I like celebrating that after losing in the World Series to the Houston Astros? Absolutely not – which makes the Tampa Bay celebrating two Wild Card appearances that much worse.
Tropicana Field is a total dump. The Rays organization is in the process of getting a brand new ballpark approved for development and if they’re smart, they will leave the Wild Card banners when Tropicana Field is rightfully demolished.

I don’t understand your point. They got swept but they still won’t those pennant what are they suppose to do. This is a stupid report
