The Eagles released Maddox last month to shed the $9.6M cap hit he carried in 2024. Maddox visited with New Orleans during free agency but agreed to return to Philadelphia.
When healthy, Maddox is one of the NFL’s top nickel corners, but he’s suffered multiple injuries and missed 29 games over the last four years — the Eagles will need to have adequate depth in place behind him.
Philadelphia drafted Maddox in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL draft out of Pittsburgh. In 64 games played, Maddox recorded 250 combined tackles, 31 passes defensed, eight forced fumbles and four INTs.
