76ers ask fans to guess Allen Iverson’s pose for his upcoming statue and there’s one clear answer
If you haven’t already heard, Allen Iverson will have his statue unveiled on Friday April 12 at the 76ers practice facility. With the big day only 24 hours away, the Sixers asked fans to guess which pose AI will be in, giving six strong choices. But one rises above the rest.
The hand to ear pose is the clear choice for the Allen Iverson statue, and it’s not even close:
educated guesses only. 🤔

I mean, come on, right? All of these are great options, don’t get me wrong, but the hand to ear pose has to be the most iconic one on the list.
The stepover is obviously a more iconic individual moment, so I could see that being the selection. Plus, it’s an awesome shot, but the Sixers did get spanked in the Finals after that game.
Of course, the irony of an AI sculpture at the 76ers’ practice facility is just too sweet. But even so, he’s earned his place on the “76ers Legends Walk” without a doubt. The sculpture will be unveiled on April 12, and Iverson will be honored at the Wells Fargo Center on April 14.
I was a little annoyed at first that we weren’t getting an Allen Iverson statue at the Wells Fargo Center. But after a few moments of reflection, I realized why the organization would be hesitant to build a statue in front of an arena they’re planning to vacate in the semi-near future.
