NBA Playoffs: 76ers full schedule and path to Finals via the Play-In Tournament

The Philadelphia 76ers needed some help to avoid the Play-In Tournament on the final day of the NBA regular season, but didn’t get it.

The Orlando Magic beat the Doc Rivers led Milwaukee Bucks and the Indiana Pacers defeated the Atlanta Hawks to set the final playoff seeding in the Eastern Conference.

Philadelphia 76ers enter playoffs as the No. 7 seed.

The path to the NBA Finals for the 76ers will now begin in the Play-In Tournament with a matchup against the Miami Heat on Wednesday night in South Philadelphia.

From there, the Sixers will look to win that game and advance to the first round of the playoffs against the No. 2 seeded New York Knicks.

Note: A loss by the Sixers to the Heat would mean they would have to play the winner of the Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks play-in game. If they win that game, they would enter the first round of the playoffs against the Boston Celtics.

Assuming the Philadelphia 76ers win on Wednesday night and advance past the New York Knicks in the first round, they will face the winner of the Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers looking to advance out of the second round of the playoffs to face what will likely be the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals.
