Joel Embiid calls officiating “f-cking unacceptable” after officiating screws the 76ers out of a win in New York

Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers nearly stole a game in New York Last night but lost to the Knicks 104-101 and have fallen behind 2-0 in the series.

That of course, didn’t come with out major controversy.

Jalen Brunson drilled a three pointer to bring the Knicks to within 101-99 with roughly 27 seconds left, the 76ers were inbounding the ball under their own basket and ran into some trouble. When they finally got the basketball inbounds to Tyrese Maxey, he turned the ball over to Josh Hart.

Hart then kicked it out to teammate Donte DiVincenzo who missed an open triple. Isaiah Hartenstein grabbed the offensive board for the Knicks and again, kicked it back to DiVincenzo who drilled a  three pointer to give the Knicks the lead with just 13 seconds left.

Joel Embiid on officiating: “Fucking Unacceptable”

“Everybody on the floor was trying to call a timeout,” a frustrated Embiid said. “Myself included. Nico (Batum), coach on the sideline, but they didn’t give it to us, but forget about a timeout. There’s a bunch of fouls—like I said, that’s (expletive) unacceptable.”

Obviously, Joel Embiid is right.

Embiid wasn’t the only one upset by the blown call. Nick Nurse sounded off on the officials following the game and even LeBron James chimed in to show his support for Philly – who clearly were robbed on the play.

While all that is fine and well. Everyone in Philadelphia already knows that the NBA and Adam Silver will stop at nothing to slow down any chance of playoff success for Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers. The NBA Deep State is real. I have been saying it for YEARS and like clockwork, here come the playoffs and it proves to be true yet again.

At the same time, it’s going to be tough to win any series when outside of Embiid and Maxey in a playoff rotation is complete ass.

Tobias Harris scored 10 points on 4-of-11 shooting while snagging six rebounds and three assists. No other player scored in double digits in Game 2 against the Knicks.

And of course, none of this happens if the Sixers could pull in an offensive rebound. Just to cover all talking points, I really don’t like Embiid’s body language in the video above either.

I know we dealt with the whole eye and rec spec thing yesterday but his words are definitely saying one thing while his entire body language is an astounding “no” from me.

On top of that, he’ll definitely get fined for saying that the inbound pass and turnover was “fucking unacceptable” but that’s showbiz baby.
