WATCH: Brandon Marsh builds dream rock band from Phillies roster while mic’d up in left field
Brandon Marsh is a dog. We know this. So it was pretty much a no-brainer when ESPN decided to mic him up against the Giants on Sunday Night Baseball. The interview was entertaining in a way only he can provide, but the best question was which Phillies players he would start a rock band with.
Brandon Marsh had a strong line up selected featuring Garrett Stubbs, Kyle Schwarber, and Cristian Pache:
I’m not usually a fan of interviewing players in the middle of the game. Don’t get me wrong, I love mic’d up segments that capture what they’re saying, but the mid-game interview is just a step too far.
Even so, with Marsh on the mic, I was thoroughly entertained. Plus, his selections were strong to say the least. I especially like the inclusion of Cristian “Pretty Boy” Pache in the mix.
Here’s how I’d imagine the roles in the band would shake out:
- Cristian Pache: front man
- Garrett Stubbs: lead guitar
- Kyle Schwarber: bass
- Brandon Marsh: drums
You could swap Marsh and Stubbs depending on the song, but I see Stubby shredding a face-melting guitar solo or two.
At first I was a little surprised he left the other half of his bromance Alec Bohm off the list, but then I realized he’s not exactly the rock n’ roll type. I just hope he can get some sleep when his roommate is tearing up the drums during band practice.
