WATCH: Jamal Murray throws heat pack onto the court in frustration during Game 2
The Denver Nuggets got destroyed by the Timberwolves in Game 2 tonight. Like, thoroughly beaten down. As a result, tensions boiled over, no pun intended.
Jamal Murray had seen enough of his team getting rocked and threw a heat pack onto the floor from the bench:

No whistle? No tech? Am I missing something here??
I don’t have it out for Jamal Murray, I just know that that has to be against the rules. Combine that with Michael Malone storming onto the court to yell at the officials and also not getting a tech, and I’m left scratching my head.
Or they just felt bad for the Nuggets getting absolutely stomped on their home floor. Even so, I wouldn’t be surprised if the NBA handed down some discipline after the game for something like that.
Some are saying it could result in a suspension for Game 3, and honestly, that’d be warranted. Not only is it extremely childish and unprofessional, it’s downright dangerous.
If it’s the kind that’s filled with hot water, it could easily burn someone badly if it burst. Even if it isn’t, it could result in a nasty rolled ankle at the very least.
Hell, his own teammate almost fell victim to it. It really was a colossally stupid move from Murray, who’s an extremely important piece for the Nuggets.
Now, with his team staring down the barrel of a 2-0 deficit on the road, he might not be able to play. Dummy.
