Nikola Topic, one of the projected top picks in the 2024 NBA Draft, went down with a non-contact injury during Game 1 of the AdmiralBet ABA League Finals.

In the EuroLeague with Mega Basket, Nikola Topic averaged 18.4 points, 7.1 assists, a steal, and 25.9% from the three-point line in 12 games played in the 2023-24 season.

Topic is a consensus Top 5 pick in the NBA Draft and possible option for the Spurs at No. 4.

The problem is the fact that the 18-year old already missed four-and-a-half months earlier this season with an injury to same knee he injured on Monday.

Topic is considered to be a dynamic, 6’6″ point guard with incredible passing ability on offense, while also being a “pressure defender” in the paint.

Last night, Crvena Zvezda held on without him earning an 85-82 win over Partizan Mozzart Bet to take a 1-0 series lead in the Best-of-5 Championship Round.

An MRI showed Topic suffered a sprained knee. He’s expected to miss the remainder of the ABA Finals due to the injury but is on track to be a full participant in pre-draft workouts this June.
