Master Negotiator: Dak Prescott on contract talks: ‘I don’t play for money’

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is looking for a new contract…we think.

In a recent article on NFL.com, Ian Rapoport quoted Prescott on his on-going contract negotiations with the Cowboys. Dak Prescott gave an interesting update, saying that he “doesn’t play for money” and really, “doesn’t even care for it.”

Talk about a masterclass in contract negotiations from Dak Prescott. If I’m Jerry Jones, I’m going to have this plastered on signs all over AT&T Stadium.

Read back that exact quote to Prescott’s face when he’s looking for a new contract. Give him a veteran minimum and spend the leftover money on attempting to build a roster that won’t choke it all away in the playoffs.

Dak Prescott doesn’t play football for money? Amazing.

He’s not playing to win Super Bowls either. Honestly, I’m not sure what Dak is even doing at this point. It’s like he didn’t see Jared Goff’s massive new contract in Detroit?

How could Dak or his agent even allow something like this to make headlines?

It’s the biggest choke job since the Cowboys lost in Jerry’s World 48-32 to the Green Bay Packers in the 2023-24 NFL Wild Card. 

Not to mention, Dak Prescott is full of shit. Of course he plays football for the money. Every single person in the world wants to be a professional athlete and make a ton of money.
