WATCH: Cubs prospect Pete Crow-Armstrong crushes home run off Wily Peralta after being thrown at TWICE
On Friday, Chicago Cubs prospect Pete Crow-Armstrong hit one of the most satisfying home runs of the 2024 baseball season.
The Iowa Cubs were facing the Indianapolis Indians on Friday. The Indians had former MLB pitcher Wily Peralta on the mound against 2020 first round draft pick Pete Crow-Armstrong.
PCA was off to a red hot start in the series, having six hits and two home runs over the past three games. Opposing pitcher Wily Peralta wanted to send a message to slow PCA down, and threw at him twice in the at-bat on Friday night.

Tonight's @IowaCubs game just gave us the very definition of poetic justice.

Wily Peralta throws behind Pete Crow-Armstrong on consecutive pitches, Marty Pevey gets tossed defending his player, and then PCA hits the next pitch a million feet.

How can you not be romantic about baseball?
Wily Peralta wants to get cute and throw behind Crow-Armstrong not once, but twice.
Manager Marty Pevey gets tossed defending his guy which I agreed with given the fact that Peralta is all over the place and it took forever to get some type of warning.
Pete Crow-Armstrong then takes Wily Peralta deep and then enjoys a nice trip around the bases. The fake high-five at first, the helmet slap heading to third, and the multiple head slaps at the plate were just beautiful.
Pete Crow-Armstrong played in 13 games for the Chicago Cubs last season and 23 this season.
2024 MiLB Stats: 102 AB | .275 AVG | 5 HR | 14 RBI | 10 SB | .870 OPS
2024 MLB Stats: 55 AB | .236 AVG | HR | 9 RBI | .659 OPS
Speaking of the Chicago Cubs, they are currently two games over the .500 mark at 27-25 on the season. They have lost seven out of their last 10 games and currently sit in second place in the NL Central standings, 3.5 games behind the Milwaukee Brewers.
