By processing the retirements after June 1, the Eagles can spread out the remaining dead money over the next two years rather than take on the full cost this year. They’ll take on dead cap hits of $8.6M in 2024 and $16.4M in 2025.
Jason Kelce retired after 13 seasons with the Eagles, being selected to seven Pro Bowls and named a first-team All-Pro for the sixth time in 2023.
Fletcher Cox spent 12 seasons in Philadelphia, ranking third in Eagles history in games played and fifth in total sacks (most among DTs).
