Man confronts Chicago Sky, Chennedy Carter at team hotel over Caitlin Clark flagrant foul
ESPN reported that a man with a camera confronted the Chicago Sky outside their hotel in Washington, D.C., as they got off the bus on Wednesday Night. Sky GM Jeff Pagliocca confirmed that the individual was seeking out Chennedy Carter for her flagrant foul on Caitlin Clark.
Multiple Chicago Sky players took to social media to speak on the incident:
finding out our teams hotel to pull with a camera as we get off the bus and put it in my teammates face & HARASS her is NASTY WORK. this really is outta control and needs to STOP.

I wasn’t present for the interaction from earlier, but what occurred isn’t acceptable. Didn’t realize that when we said “grow the game” that would be interpreted as harassing players at hotels. You are free to have your own opinion but consider if this happened to someone u know.

Look, was the flagrant foul on Caitlin Clark a total cheap shot? Absolutely. But that doesn’t warrant behavior like this from fans.
At the same time, though, this shows the WNBA is ascending into the mainstream. I’m not condoning this behavior, but if this happened last season, nobody would even think to harass the Chicago Sky, even if one of their players literally killed somebody.
Fortunately, team security was able to de-escalate the situation, but let’s hope this doesn’t happen again.
