Report: Eagles in contract extension talks with rising defensive tackle
The Eagles have had a busy offseason so far. They’ve extended key franchise cornerstones while bringing in new players who can help propel them back into Super Bowl contention.
GM Howie Roseman doesn’t appear to be done just yet, as sources tell The Liberty Line that preliminary discussions have taken place between the Eagles and DT Milton Williams.
The #Eagles & DT Milton Williams have had preliminary discussions on a contract extension, but it’s unsure if one will get done before the beginning of the season, source tells @LibertyLinePHL.

Williams, a 2021 third-round pick, is entering his fourth season with the Eagles and is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent next offseason.
After Javon Hargrave departed in free agency last year, Milton Williams saw an increased role and flashed dominance in the middle of Philly’s defensive line. He’ll be expected to take another step in 2024 with the retirement of Fletcher Cox.
Williams appeared in all 17 regular season games last season, recording career-highs in tackles (42), pressures (24), and QB hits (7).
As my colleague mentioned above, an extension for Williams likely won’t come until later, but it’s good to see Philadelphia remain true to their philosophy of building through the trenches.
Not enough people talking about Milton Williams' performance on Sunday

Run Game. Pass Game. Doesn't matter – he was really impressive. Again showing that he can win in multiple ways. Got the start up front and made plays from Snap 1 on #FlyEaglesFly pic.twitter.com/6EA5T0wR5C
