Report: Eagles sign star WR AJ Brown to mega-extension, keeping him in Philly until 2029

Just ten days after extending DeVonta Smith, the Eagles locked up their other star receiver.

Per multiple reports, WR AJ Brown has agreed to a three-year extension worth $96M, keeping him in Philadelphia through 2029.

Brown’s extension is worth $32M/year, the highest in NFL history. With three years remaining on his current contract, the Eagles are now committed to Brown for the next six seasons.

Philadelphia acquired Brown’s services during the 2022 NFL Draft, and two years later, they’ve ensured he won’t be leaving anytime soon.

Rumors have been swirling about Brown for months, with many speculating he’s unhappy with the Eagles—this deal should put those narratives to rest.

The Eagles now have seven offensive starters under contract through at least 2026:

  • AJ Brown (2029)
  • Jalen Hurts (2028)
  • DeVonta Smith (2028)
  • Landon Dickerson (2028)
  • Jordan Mailata (2028)
  • Lane Johnson (2026)
  • Saquon Barkley (2026)
