WATCH: Giants GM Joe Shoen looks like complete idiot in Saquon Barkley conversation in latest Hard Knocks episode

We’re two episodes into the offseason edition of Hard Knocks with the New York Giants and the biggest takeaway thus far — the team’s GM Joe Shoen is a complete idiot.

The first episode didn’t give away a whole lot in terms of the Saquon Barkley saga, aside from a brief convo between Joe Shoen and the owner. Even then, it was pretty clear that Shoen really didn’t know what to do with the Saquon situation.

In the second episode, however, we finally got a phone call between Shoen and Barkley himself, where Shoen tells the now Eagles running back that they’re going to let him test the market. He also sounds like a little puppy dog asking Saquon to come back and let them match the offer, hilarious.

“I mean, I already told you where I want to be,” says it all.

At the end of the day, I think it’s safe to assume Barkley would’ve liked to stay in New York. Now that this video is out there, it’s almost undeniable that he made the right decision leaving. The Giants are an incompetent organization. Sadly for their fans, this season of Hard Knocks has shown that to the world, and we’re only two episodes deep.
