WATCH: Lebron James gets mocked by Marko Guduric during USA’s 105-79 victory over Serbia in exhibition play

Team USA took on Serbia this afternoon in yet another international exhibition game ahead of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.

On Wednesday, Team USA defeated Serbia 105-79 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, guided by Stephen Curry and Bam Adebayo.

It marked their third straight exhibition win after defeating Australia 98-92 on Monday at Emirates Arena and defeating Canada 86-72 in Las Vegas last week.

Serbia is a squad led by this fella named Nikola Jokic. Maybe you’ve heard of him? Outside of the multi-time NBA MVP winner, their roster does feature a ton of talent and length.

During today’s matchup, LeBron James had the perfect transition opportunity with Marko Guduric of Serbia the only one brave enough to stand in his way.

Guduric had no choice but to foul James and still, got laid out on the play. LeBron gave Guduric a “shoulder shrug” following the whistle, which the Serbian then copied once he got to his feet.

Lebron James trucks Marko Guduric, who mocked the Shoulder Shrug Celly

What made this play hilarious was the fact that LeBron did that exact shoulder shrug several times today, including an instance where he converted a tough layup under contact.

LeBron is no stranger to the Shoulder Shrug Celly but today specifically felt like it was overused so you can’t really blame Guduric for mocking him over it.

I mean hell, I would have done the exact same thing. For anyone who caught today’s game, even I was annoyed at LeBron after the 15th shoulder shrug.

I’d expect these two teams to match up again this summer as the games exit the exhibition stage and become more meaningful. Team USA will now head to England for two more exhibition games before the Olympics begin at the end of the month.

Team USA will play three Group C games in Lille on July 28 (Serbia), July 31 (South Sudan) and Aug. 3 (Puerto Rico). The knockout rounds then shift to Paris with the quarterfinals (Aug. 6), semifinals (Aug. 8) and gold medal game (Aug. 10) at Accor Arena.
