Eagles New: PFF predicts absurdly low rushing total for Saquon Barkley in 2024
Every NFL talking head is expecting big things for new Eagles RB Saquon Barkley in 2024. Everyone except for Pro Football Focus, apparently.
In their annual stats projections for players around the league, they predicted that Saquon will only rush for 1,120 yards this season, while his replacement in New York, Devin Singletary, rushes for a hair under that at 1,109.

I’m not sure how they come with these projections, and frankly, I don’t care. This is ridiculous.
I’ve looked everywhere for their reasoning on this projection, but for the life of me, I can’t find it. Nevertheless, it’s crazy to think Saquon will post average numbers running behind the Eagles offensive line. And to think Singletary — a far worse back than Saquon — will be right on his heels is laughable.
If he remains healthy, Saquon will easily surpass this total. I expect the offense to run through Saquon, honestly. The Eagles offense is at its best when it’s run-heavy, Saquon gives them the ability to do that without putting Jalen Hurts in harm’s way. It’s a win-win for the Birds, and a lose-lose for their opponents.
