Brent Rooker Instagram DM Home Run

Oakland A’s Brent Rooker clapped back at sports bettor who blamed him for losing a $21K parlay, goes yard the following game

Oakland A’s All-Star Brent Rooker opened up his DM’s on Instagram and fired back at a sports bettor who blamed him for losing the last leg of a parlay that would have paid out $21,000.

A sports betting handicapper that goes by the name “Skunkii_Plays” on Instagram decided to let Rooker know he wasn’t happy after he failed to hit a home run and ultimately deliver him a $21K payday. For whatever reason, Rooker checked his DM’s and decided to respond to “Skunkii_Plays” and express how much he cared about the demoralizing loss.

Rooker: “My brother, I cannot even begin to express how much I do not care.”

Shoutout Brent Rooker. Normally, athletes wouldn’t even entertain DM’s from people just foaming at the mouth to screenshot but I’m glad he did. After the screenshot went viral on social media, Rooker added to the remark on X to downplay the initial DM from Skunkii_Plays” and made it clear his response was lighthearted.

Brent Rooker on X:

“I’m sure Mr. Skunkii is a wonderful guy. We get far worse messages than this on a nightly basis, so sometimes it’s fun to pick a more lighthearted one and interact a little bit. If fans get to say whatever they want to us, we get to reply sometimes. It’s all in good fun of course.”

No harm no foul. I would have added that much like someone’s Fantasy Football team roster, literally no one cares about another person’s ridiculous parlay – even more so when the person you’re telling is literally one of the legs that could have delivered you a $21K payday.

To make matters even more funny, in his first game back from the DM going viral, Brent Rooker crushed his 26th of the season against the San Francisco Giants.

Brent Rooker Home Run (26)

Man, I would have love to see Brent Rooker in a Phillies uniform right now, even with one of those oversized IBX Patches taking up his entire sleeve.

Brent Rooker is putting together one hell of a season. He’s hitting .297 with 102 hits, 26 home runs, 77 RBIs and 53 runs scored in 94 games this season with the poverty-ridden Oakland Athletics.

Unfortunately, he just wasn’t considered a fit due to his lackluster defense in the outfield and the designated hitter spot occupied by Kyle Schwarber.
