5AM in Paris: Kevin Durant dunks on anti-American’s on Twitter; including Denver Nuggets fans and Nikola Jokic worshipper’s, after the United States inspiring comeback win against Serbia
While LeBron James is mastering the art of aging while still playing basketball at an elite level, there’s an argument to be made that Kevin Durant is right next to him, doing the same.
We live in an era where longevity is the new barometer of greatness with athletes and if you package that with stats, god given talent, and social media prowess, Kevin Durant is undoubtedly one of the greatest of all time.
It definitely helps that KD just became the all-time leading score in U.S. basketball history yesterday as Team USA beat the snot out of Nikola Jokic and Serbia to advance to the Gold Medal game against France on Saturday.
From the NBA to the World Stage, Kevin Durant is one of the most decorated basketball players in history. When it comes to the Olympics, Durant’s pride for representing his country is elite and is a direct reflection for what he’s able to do on the basketball court.
KD drained an absolute dagger in the closing minute of the 17 point-comeback win against Serbia yesterday and continued his onslaught on X shortly after.
Kevin Durant DAGGER against Serbia
Obviously, Nikola Jokic is the main attraction on Serbia’s national team and while being the elite basketball talent that we have all witnessed at the NBA level – he comes with a ton of baggage in the form of the worst fanbase imaginable.
Fans will literally flood the timelines of any social media platform with statistics that no one even knows what they mean. They dive in way too deep and form the most ridiculous arguments and comparisons while lashing out at anyone who questions them.
Here at The Liberty Line, we commonly refer to them as “Statsexuals”
If Jokic has an “off-night” these fans will find anyone to blame but the man himself. Nuggets lose? You better not look at Jokic. He is untouchable and a man that doesn’t have to accept accountability for anything so you better try again.
A popular member of this delusional, borderline cult of Jokic, who I would consider to be the worst member of them all, finally got what was coming to him after taking to social media to express his undying love for Jokic…again.
Kevin Durant’s social media greatness displayed yet again
Where u from??

So, “SwipaCam”, is a Denver Nuggets content creator of some sort and if you check his timeline from yesterday, he was actively rooting against the United States and supporting Serbia and his false prophet, Nikola Jokic.
Valid response from Durant. With the Jokic dick-riding, his home country along with his general dignity and pride for his fellow countrymen that are overseas representing the U.S.A. is definitely something worth questioning.
Durant didn’t stop there, he continued to bodybag the Cult of Jokic and Nuggets fans in general. The debate over “Who’s the GOAT in the NBA” is one that is completely boring at this point, but this specific group refuses to throw in the towel.
Before social media, people used to actually talk basketball but now, it’s turned into the most unintelligent form of the “who’s better” debate.
Durant, live from Paris, wasn’t having any of it and continued to clap back at this dork who brings shame to the last name Smith, with a response explaining that worshiping anyone is lame as shit and that actual hoopers acknowledge his greatness without rooting against their country at the Olympics – while reiterating how dumb the “best player” debate really is.
To all you nuggets fans, nobody gives a fuck who yall lames believe is the best player in the league, players got major respect for Jok, we don’t worship him like yall do but most are in awe of his brilliance. Trolling you cornballs for rooting against us is apart of the game.… https://t.co/JVwxSi0eJD

Listen, I would honestly expect nothing more from a fan group that treats and discusses Nikola Jokic like Taylor Swift’s “Swifties” on social media.
Durant’s message is clear. If you’re American rooting and arguing for Nikola Jokic at the Olympics, then you are a coward and a fraud and shouldn’t be a part of any basketball discussion moving forward. Literally no one cares about the Cult of Jokic and their tired, recycled arguments and statements about how he’s the “best in the world.”
If you’re American and can’t separate your love for Jokic that you’re now rooting for Serbia, then you’re just a loser. Kevin Durant and anyone with a shred of self-respect would agree with that.
Don’t get me wrong, Jokic is a fantastic basketball player but that’s pretty much it. He doesn’t even like America, our culture, or anything to do with being a superstar in the NBA. The perfect example is the fact that he won’t even speak to the media at the Olympics “because he doesn’t have to like he does in the NBA”.
And if we’re being honest, Jokic has benefited greatly from the Social Media Stat Generation and the fact that the NBA is currently undergoing a transition period where players like LeBron, Steph, and even KD aren’t considered to be in their primes at this point in their respective careers.
Nikola Jokic has only one NBA championship under his belt. He owns a few MVP trophies but with a flawed voting system and a league in full desperation mode to create new superstars, they really don’t hold much weight anymore.
Nonetheless, I wanted to give a special thank you to Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid, Stephen Curry, and Lebron James for an absolutely electric comeback win to continue the United State’s dominance and reign over the basketball world.
One more game against Wemby and Team France for Gold. See you Saturday.
