Ward came into the NFL undrafted and played 40 games with the Eagles, catching 88 passes for 768 yards and 10 touchdowns.
During the dark days before A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith arrived in Philadelphia, Ward stepped up for the offense, leading the team in receptions (53) and receiving touchdowns (6) in 2020.
WR Josh Downs suffered an ankle injury in practice this week, so the Colts will use Ward to fill slot reps during training camp. Ward spent two years with current Colts head coach Shane Steichen from 2021-22 when Steichen was the Eagles’ offensive coordinator.
