Mets honor Hawk Tuah girl’s first pitch by blowing 5-run lead against Oakland
To the dismay of New York Mets fans everywhere, the team decided to have Hailey Welch, the infamous Hawk Tuah girl, throw out the first pitch for their Thursday night contest against the Oakland A’s.
Fans were livid over the decision, including WFAN’s Sal Licata. “The Yankees have Aaron Judge and Juan Soto breaking records. (Babe) Ruth, (Mickey) Mantle, (Lou), Gehrig and the Mets have Grimace and now ‘Hawk Tuah.’ Come on, bro, I can’t take it, I cannot take it anymore.”

Really great stuff from Hailey here. Good form, good follow through. She has all the makings of a varsity athlete.
For anyone who’s been living under a rock this Summer, Welch got instantly famous after a video circulated online of a man on the street-style interview she did, where she shared her felacio wisdom with the world.
To honor this God fearing woman, the Mets blew a five-run lead after she threw out the first pitch, losing 7-6.
Sometimes, these blogs just write themselves. Thank you, New York, for giving us this gem.
