Eagles disrespect continues as NFL Network host Kyle Brandt leaves them off his 2024 AFC & NFC Playoff teams list
With the Eagles set to travel to Brazil to play the Packers on Friday night, it is time to get strapped up and ready for a fun ride ahead. Regardless of where you stand as a fan, everyone enters the year with a (0-0) record—with that said, even the most biased of fans or media members can understand which teams project to be good.
Yes, that applies to even Eagles fans, who seem to get a bad rap from the sports world. So, I will say this for the final time: what happened last year was last year and has essentially zero impact on this season.
You look at the roster, and it’s clear that Howie Roseman has built a squad ready to compete and dominate. Jalen Hurts is a legit MVP candidate, and with weapons like A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, Saquon Barkley, and Jahad Dotson, who’s stopping that? Plus, the O-line is still among the best in the league.
Unfortunately, Kyle Brandt of the NFL Network doesn’t seem to have a grasp on reality as he revealed his playoff teams from both conferences today.

I get Kyle, including teams like the 49ers, Cowboys, and Lions in the mix. And sure, they’ve got talent, but let’s be real—San Francisco doesn’t have a QB that scares anyone, the Cowboys are the Cowboys (choke artists), and Detroit? Come on, Detroit? They’re still trying to figure out what it’s like to win consistently. None of these teams can touch the Eagles when they’re on their game, especially in January, when it’s cold and our fans are louder than a jet engine.
Speaking of January, if you’re a fan of a team with Jared Goff as their quarterback, you should be praying Detroit finishes as the one seed so that they can play in a Dome and not the outdoor conditions on the road. Could you imagine Goff traveling to Philadelphia in January to play the Eagles at the Linc?
I don’t have an issue with him picking the Falcons to win the NFC South; they are the betting favorites, and that division is weak. But, I could see a world where a different team also represents the South. But overall, no problems from me there.
It’s laughable to assume the Cowboys will win the NFC East over the Eagles after the joke of an offseason they had. I also find it funny he has the Rams winning the NFC West like it’s some genius take. Newsflash: you’re like every other analyst trying to gas up the Rams. Seriously, everyone and their mother has the same take on LA. “I’m not betting against Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford.”
I also couldn’t help but notice he left the Green Bay Packers off this list, too. They couldn’t even get a Wild Card spot? While I believe that Caleb Williams and the Bears will be much improved this season, why are we pretending like the Packers didn’t have the 49ers on the ropes in the Divisional Round of the playoffs last year? If Green Bay doesn’t win the NFC North, I expect them to grab a Wild Card spot.
In the end, Kyle Brandt’s playoff predictions will get everyone talking, but let’s be honest—only one team matters. The Eagles are primed for another Super Bowl run. I would argue that I wouldn’t want to be in any other fanbase right now because Philly is completely flying under the radar with a stacked roster that has revenge on their hearts.
