Eagles fan takes it upon himself to cover up counterfeit Kamala Harris campaign ads in Philly
Election years are always strange, especially over the past decade or so. The Philadelphia Eagles have never been openly political, so when Kamala Harris-Eagles campaign ads started popping up around the city, it didn’t make much sense.
The team took to Twitter to clear the air, stating that the ads are counterfeit and that they’re working to remove them. Could’ve fooled me — they look pretty legit.

Of course, this Tweet reached 11 million people and counting, by far the most of any recent Eagles Tweet. One scroll through the replies and you’ll see just how ridiculous our political ecosystem has become.
Despite this statement from the team, conservative fans were still pissed. One fan, Joe from South Philly, took it upon himself to cover up the ads with print outs of the Eagles Tweet stating they’re counterfeit.

Now, don’t take that header the wrong way. I think we’re fucked either way in this election. Nevertheless, I’d rather not root for a team that’s openly rooting for either side. Of course they have every right to do it if they choose — but it comes off as cringy and honestly, just annoying.
I don’t care who you’re voting for in November. Just win ball games.
