It only took 3 quarters for New York Giants fans to completely give up on the 2024-25 NFL season
Good morninng. I regret (not really) to inform New York Giants fans that their football team has been eliminnated from playoff contention following a miserable Week 1 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, 28-6.
It’s not very often you can completely eliminate an NFL team from playoff contention after the first week of the season, but it’s safe to say that the New York Giants are completely cooked after losing to the Minnesota Vikings at home by a final score of 28-6.
Franchise quarterback Daniel Jones completed 22-of-42 passes for 186 yards and two interceptions. The Giants’ offense as a whole failed to score a touchdown while their former best player, Saquon Barkley, scored three of his own for the Eagles in Week 1.
Speaking of that, Devin Singletary, Barkley’s replacement, carried the ball 10 times for a measly 37 yards. He caught four passes for a measly 15 yards and the Giants team as a whole left fans devastated as they booed Danny Dimes, lit jerseys on fire, and left the game against the Vikings in the third quarter.

WATCH: Giants fans wait outside stadium to boo Daniel Jones after embarrassing 28-6 loss
I guess my main question is why would New York Giants fans think any differently in the first place? They spend a ton of money to go support a team that’s led by Daniel Jones while the organization sent All-Pro running back Saquon Barkley to their NFC East rivals Philadelphia Eagles.
The New York Giants season was over before it started. I can’t believe anyone even showed up for Week 1 and thought the end result would be any different.
The New York Giants have been ELIMINATED from the playoffs
…after Week 1 of the NFL season.
It’s not often that NFL fans completely give up one their team in Week 1 – even more so when these days, the starters barely see any action during the preseason. Typically there’s a little room to acknowledge that there will likely be a little “rust” in Week 1 as plays find their rhythm and chemistry but not with the G-Men.
This is simply “The Daniel Jones Experience”
I guess we should credit them for realizing that their season is over before four quarters of football were played?
Maybe Giants fans do know ball and Daniel Jones disaster-class in Week 1 was the “great awakening” for fans that they shouldn’t even bother spending money and rooting for a team that is clearly beyond broken.
New York Giants Fans burn Daniel Jones jerseys outside of MetLife
At least donate? Sorry Sarah, not even a homeless, naked person would be interested in wearing a Daniel Jones jersey. That’s basically torture.
For context: Daniel Jones has thrown THREE PICK 6’S and only TWO touchdowns since he signed his 4-year, $160 million deal with the Giants.
Welcome to hell.
This were so bad in Week 1 that Giants fans themselves decided to stick around and get their money’s worth by booing Daniel Jones after the game. We dove into that right here, but the video is also posted below.
The New York Giants are officially cooked and stuck with a “franchise quarterback” that resembles a mid-level high school QB instead of an NFL QB.
Looking at the other teams in the NFC East, the Eagles and their fanbase must be laughing.
To be clear: We are laughing.
Dak Prescott just signed a massive contract to remain in Dallas and even with a big win in Week 1 against the Browns, there’s not a single soul believing that the Cowboys will be able to keep it together for an entire NFL season.
As for the Commanders, give me a break..lol.
The Eagles should know damn well that the NFC East is there for the taking and all they have to do is play decent football each week to waltz right into the playoffs.
