Eagles pass-rusher Bryce Huff has failed to record a stat in two consecutive games

The Eagles pulled off a gutsy win over the Saints in New Orleans 15-12 on Sunday behind the brilliance of Saquon Barkley and Dallas Goedert.

One player who didn’t contribute much to the victory was pass-rusher Bryce Huff, who has essentially been demoted just three weeks into the season.

After signing a three-year, $51.1M deal in free agency, the Eagles were hoping Huff would fill the void left by Haason Reddick, who is still in search of his own big pay-day.

That hasn’t been the case. In fact, Reddick and Huff have basically recorded the same stat lines over the first three weeks of the NFL season.

Huff specifically has failed to live up to his contract and has recorded zeros across the board for the second consecutive week following today’s win against the Saints.

The other glaring stat is only 18 defensive snaps played, down from the 32 he played last week against Atlanta.

36-year-old Brandon Graham is playing more than him at this point, which shows just how ineffective Bryce Huff has been with the Eagles.

It was always going to be a tough transition from the rotational player he was with the Jets to a three-down rusher in Philadelphia, but the early results aren’t encouraging.

We’ll see how Vic Fangio uses him moving forward.
