Divine Intervention: Fan blesses Phillies dugout with holy water, wakes up bats just in time for crazy Game 2 comeback
In a scene that could only be described as a blend of baseball magic and divine intervention, a devoted Phillies fan took it upon herself to bless the team’s dugout with holy water during Game 2 of the NLDS against the New York Mets. Little did she know, this small act of faith would spark an offensive explosion, leading to a thrilling comeback victory.
This Phillies fan woke up the bats just in time with a few splashes of holy water:
I think this just goes to show that even Jesus hates the Mets. It also serves as definitive proof that God is real and he’s a Phillies fan.
Just look at it logically. The Fightins couldn’t get anything going for six innings. A little bit of holy water then yields back-to-back homers from Bryce Harper and Nick Castellanos, a triple from Bryson Stott, and a walk-off base knock from Casty to close it out.
I don’t know, man. You do the math.
